My baby is 3 months old and he’s going through a major shift. He went from loving naps and sleeping 4-6H stretches to now waking up every sleep cycle 30-90 min. Issue is he wakes himself up fully and either plays and calls for us (babbling) then refuses to be put down or screams bloody murder until we rock him to sleep. It’s exhausting for my husband and I. I do exclusively BF so sometimes he wakes up every hour and wants to feed and actually does feed! I’ve been upping his day time feeds – but still no success. Has been ongoing x 2 weeks. Any advice appreciated! I don’t like the cry it out and leave him in the crib method – I don’t have the stamina for it!

How do you set a baby's bed time? One minute these experts say to read the cues and put baby down before they get too tired to prevent over tiredness, then they start saying, move their bedtime as though we have any control over it. Baby sleeps when baby is tired. I don't keep her awake or wake her up early to ensure the right wake windows before 'bed time' at 10

Thank you so much! This is super helpful. I have a question.
My 6 month old was able to fall asleep on his own in the crib every night (not for day naps but yes at night) he did that since he was about 3 months old. At night he slept for 8 hours every night then woke up around 4:30 am to feed and went back to sleep until 7:30 consistently!

Then teething started… there has been some rough nights but over all he would go back to the routine (quiet play, changing, pajamas, lullaby in arms and then falling asleep in the crib. Lately he needs to hold my hand and be shushed even for naps too…). I tried to be more regimented with routine to make regression easier.

Since I started to be more regimented, for the last week, he consistently goes to bed between 7-8 but then then wakes up at 11pm , again at 3am, and again at 6 am. He won't be soothed back to sleep unless I feed him. (mind you I have not tried the 5 minute rule.) I don't know what to do. Is that a growth spurt? Or simply regression because of teething? Should I insist on delaying feeding? I do feed every2 -3 hours during the day and he has been growing well…

    Help.

13 month old just started walking & daycare. I stayed home for a year but have to go back to work. He will not sleep in his crib. He will scream for hours, starting while walking towards the crib. I get him ready 1st and put him in the crib (on my side of the bed) and get myself ready (he can see me as dresser is by his crib). I put on sleep sound machine, I lay down (2 ft from his crib) and sing. I read the same bedtime book I read all my kids. My partner is sleeping in another room now going on 2 weeks, because he has to get up at 4 for work. Baby's face is red, tear streaked, voice horse and still cries for 2 hours. I obviously can't sleep. This week, I put him in the bed with me at about 10 PM because I am exhausted.

He needs to be back in the crib. I start work next week. He is not teething or sick. If I get him to fall asleep in my bed, I cannot transfer him, he wakes up right away and proceeds to scream 2 more hours.

This is my 4th baby. Oldest is 18 years old. None of my kids were like this. I am aware each child is different. I am a teacher. All my kids have routines, including bedtime. Sleep training doesn't work with him. I'm totally exhausted and over 40 so it's turning me into a zombie during the day.

Sometimes im very tired and i tahe her on my bed buth things get worst, in bed with me she wakes up even more often. I dont know what to do. Im exhausted. I started to help her to sleep on her own but she cries a lot.

My 15 month old sleeps continuously for 2 hrs in the night. Then wakes up like every 15-20 minutes. Is this normal?

I love your video. My 10-month-old is going through sleep regression or separation anxiety (or even both; idk anymore haha). He learned how to stand with support recently and has been crawling.

We sleep trained him so he is an independent sleeper. We put on his sleep sack and pacifier and we wait in the room where his crib is until he falls asleep. He naps perfectly fine (no cries). When evening hits, he cries on his crib and wails and reaches to be picked up. He wasn't like this before. He just sleeps normally, no crying even at night.

Now, he wants to sleep beside me duing bedtime, but nap time – he is fine to sleep on his own. He also wakes up every 30 mins, 1 hr or 2 hrs every night and cannot fall asleep on his own. I tried to let him figure it out on his own (for about 5-30 mins) but he just cries hysterically and begs for me to carry him. When he is up and cries for a long time already (15 mins or so), he fully wakes up and finds hard to fall asleep again. Last night, I didn't let him figure it out bc he was crying a lot the other night. Since I didn't let him figure it out, he fell asleep after breastfeeding or putting him beside me. If I let him figure it out for too long (15+ mins), I pick him up and try to comfort him but he stays awake for 1-3 hours playing or complaining bc he cant sleep again. We stayed consistent with our routine, but during night wakings I don't know what to do.

How can I manage the night time sleep?

I love your posts and videos, thank you so much for making them! I think we're in the 15 month regression right now and are totally exhausted! I'm guessing it's the time change plus our son just started walking. He is only taking hour-long naps (usually 2+ hours, once a day) and waking up between 5-6am. It's been 2+ weeks now. Any advice for us? (We've stayed consistent with our routines and sleep learning!). Thank you <3

Hi! Omg, how are there no comments?! I have so many questions! How can I rule if it is babe’s 4 month regression or not? Baseline: shy of 4 months we removed him from swaddle as he was showing signs of waking. He went from sleeping with no wakes to only waking once. I’d give him minimal milk to sooth down (2-3oz max of a standard 6oz feed). At 4.5 months he’s now waking a second time overnight and I do t want to feed. I try to leave him to self soothe or even soothe myself without feed (min of 25 mins) and that’s not enough. It end with him drinking and going to bed. Is this a regression or needing more calories? He is technically under weight (not drastically) and eats an adequate amount during the day per pediatrician. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!
