After experiencing her own health challenges while raising four children, Nathalie Agnus was inspired to turn her long-standing interest in homeopathy into a meaningful new career. She retrained as a homeopath and founded Reclaim Your Health, where she now supports women seeking a holistic approach to their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Drawing on both her professional training and personal experience of chronic fatigue and recovery, Nathalie is passionate about helping women feel heard, understood and supported as they navigate their own health journeys. Here, she talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind Reclaim Your Health, the challenges she has overcome along the way, finding balance as a mum of four and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
When my youngest child started nursery, I felt ready to go back to work and I wanted to do something that felt meaningful. At the same time, I was beginning to struggle with my own health. I initially put it down to lack of sleep – which seemed understandable with four young children – but it became clear that there was more going on.
I had grown up with some awareness of homeopathy because my mum started using it when I was a teenager. I was not aware of the immense scope of homeopathy then, but I felt drawn to it and so I embarked on a four-year course.
I knew I wanted to help people, and having my own practice felt like the natural way to do that while creating a career that could work alongside family life. Most importantly, my own experience of struggling with my health gave me a real understanding of how much it can mean to find someone who listens, understands what you’re going through and knows how to help. That’s how my own ill health and recovery inspired me to create my business as it is now.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
The most honest answer is: completely chaotically! With my health becoming quite challenging while I was studying, there were plenty of stop-start moments along the way. It definitely wasn’t the straightforward journey I had imagined.
But somehow, through all the twists and turns, I managed to finish my studies, get my health back on track, set up my practice and start seeing clients – although definitely not in that neat, linear order!
Looking back, I’m actually grateful for how things unfolded. Going through my own health challenges while studying gave me a much deeper understanding of what it is like to navigate your health while still trying to keep everyday life moving. It has shaped the way I work and the way I relate to the people who come to see me.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
I think every entrepreneur will tell you that starting a business is so much more than that! It is a deep personal journey, filled with so many hurdles and breakthroughs.
For me, the biggest breakthrough was undoubtedly my own health journey. Living through chronic fatigue and then finding my way back to health gave me so much insight into what health is, what disease is (in homeopathy we say dis-ease, meaning the disruption of ease) and what happens when that sense of balance is lost. It gave me a vivid, practical experience of living with chronic fatigue and what the road to recovery can look like.
Women, especially in today’s world, take on so much without necessarily realising how much it all is to carry, and without noticing the implications and repercussions this normalised way of life has on their health.
Going through it all made me realise why I had been drawn to homeopathy in the first place. I love that it looks at the whole person rather than isolating one symptom. Homeopathy is subtle, but beautifully so. It gently supports, guides, opens and repairs, and I love being able to offer this support to other women.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
In theory, it’s all about well-defined boundaries, grounding practices and a beautifully balanced diary. In reality, I’m doing my best!
Balancing work, myself and the demands of life with four children is definitely an ongoing experiment, and I don’t think I’ve quite cracked the perfect formula yet. But I’ve come a very long way. A few years ago, I was struggling with chronic fatigue, overwhelm and feeling like I was barely holding everything together. Today, I have much more balance and systems that work for our family.
I also know I couldn’t have made that progress without the support of my own homeopath. That experience has stayed with me and has shown me just how valuable it is to have the right support around you, especially when life already feels like a lot to hold.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
The biggest challenge I had to overcome was starting over after separating from my partner and having to put every new building block in place. I had to learn who I was, what I wanted and how I was going to achieve it all at once.
For me, it meant retraining whilst raising four children and overcoming ill health. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend doing things this way, but I am living proof that it is possible! What I would recommend, however, is to accept all the support that comes your way and if it does not, to seek it. No woman is an island, and nor should she be.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I absolutely love running my own business. It gives me the freedom and flexibility I want as a parent, while also allowing me to follow my vision and build something that reflects my values and the way I want to work.
In the beginning, I was very much a one-woman band! I was the homeopath, administrator, marketer, tech support… though now I have found my tribe who support me in running the business so I can concentrate on the part that means the most to me: seeing clients and supporting their health.
The downside? There’s always something that needs doing! But I keep reminding myself to enjoy the journey rather than expecting to have it all figured out.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I’m looking forward to seeing homeopathy take a much bigger place in healthcare and become a familiar, go-to option for more people. We’re very lucky to have so many ways to look after our health, but I think homeopathy deserves to be much better known. It is such a wonderful, powerful and gentle modality with such scope.
I would love to see a homeopathy home kit in every family’s medicine cabinet to treat minor ailments and illnesses at home (your homeopath will always be able to advise you if needed). And I’d love for people to know that homeopathy can also be an option when they’re struggling with their health more broadly: physical, emotional and mental health.
Often, people might seek homeopathic support for something specific, such as baby blues, anxiety, hair loss, exhaustion… or a seemingly random physical symptom, and find that the benefits extend much further. As the individual, overall health picture is addressed, changes can reach far beyond the original complaint, with people feeling more balanced, resilient and energised.
A big part of my work is raising awareness and educating. I hope for everyone to see health from a holistic perspective: our energetic nature, the patterns and beliefs – recent and ancestral – that drive us and shape our health, the predispositions and acquired resistance we carry and how treating the root heals ramifying branches. I want people to know the difference between suppressing emotions and truly processing them: the first causes disease; the second promotes health.
Ultimately, I wish for homeopathy to become something people know about, understand and can easily access, so everyone can make an informed choice about looking after their health.
