My 16 month old boy will eat stones, clothes pegs, anything of the floor including bird poo, but will hardly touch his own food, we are struggling to feed him.
I've tried all of this for about 1,5 months (with a 10 day break) and my daughter (now 7 months) just does not want to eat anything I offer. One exception: on 2 days she ate a few spoonfuls of mashed parsnips, but after that never again. What can I do???
Thanks so much for sharing!!!
The father of my baby is mad at me for not buying store food and cooking for our daughter 😢
My 7 month old baby just started with solids (apple puree) . We're using the correct spoons, spoon technique, double spoon, we even placed the food in front of her in a bowl with the suction thing (stay put bowl), and she does but her hand in but she doesn't love the texture, makes a face every time she sucks on her fingers that had a bit of apple, and we've never managed to get the spoon in her mouth. Any suggestions?
Who needs a splash mat when you have two dogs and a cat 😂 (I was surprised my cat liked zucchini!)
Hey, Mrs. Hubbard, thanks a lot for your amazing videos! They help so much!
I have a question. Quite frankly I am desperate for help. My son is 8.5 months old and has no teeth yet. He is crawling and develops well. He is healthy and has a good weight gain. But I struggle with his diet, because he almost exclusively drings my milk.
Yes, he loves cucumber sticks from the fridge and bread if he can put it in his mouth himself. But other than that I doesn't eat anything. And even from the cucumber and the bread there is not much food going in the stomach. He doesn't like cooked vegetables, no fresh paprika, banana, apple, different types of mashed foods, differently mashed foods (with or without pieces in it, with flat spoon or just smeared on my or his finger), porridge, self made waffles, cup cakes, pan cakes… He has never accepted to drink from the bottle even though I tried to teach him (I needed to have a surgery…). I brestfeed him at least 8 times a day. He shows me when he is hungry and I try to give him any kind of food he doesn't play much with it but quickly throws it away. Often he doesn't even put it in his mouth. So then I breastfeed him. But after breastfeeding he has even less interest in food I guess because his stomach is full.
I feel so drained! My nails are showing signs of malnutrition, my skin is painfully dry an cracks bleedingly open just to make two visible examples. I already try to eat healthy AND take supplements of vitamins and minerals and without it's even worse.
And I am so tired because he needs several drinks each night. (I am pretty sure it's hunger because he is my third born in 4 years. I have allways tried to teach my babies the next little step to help them – over the course of several months – become more and more competent in falling asleep without much interference from me.)
So he has never eaten a full meal without breastfeeding and I yearn for sleep and a true reduction in the amount of breastfeeding.
Do you have a good thought (even if it's just 'Hang on a little longer, it will get better on its own.')?
My daughter is 18 months and she barely eats something
Just breastmilk 🥺
Hopefully those trips will help but I am scared 😳
Interesting and valuable advice. Thanks Emma!! I get stressed out trying to feed my toddler girl. Gonna use this advice to try and make it a better experience for her.
My 11 months old only eats purées from my hands. He doesn’t want to hold any spoon and any food in his hands. Do you have any recommendations? Maybe you have a video about it?
Okay, regarding point 1: I absolutely have not the nerves to let my baby play with her purree or soup. Just… no. I feed her soggy food but she’s more than welcome to play with things like noodles, veggies, fruits etc but not soggy stuff. Only when I have all the time in the world. I let her poke the soggy food on the spoon and pincer grab some of it but I can’t let her go in a rampage or I lose my mind.
Mmmmmmmm should i comment mmmmmm i should thank you thank you that was a weird intro
('. ' ) thank you 👍😎👉
Mmmmmmm she's so cute wait i've twins i forgot
Ooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooo oOoOO ooooooooooooooooooo thank you for making my baby okay it's 6 month years old thank you mg omg actually eating herself i need to turn off the camera 📸
My 1 year old gags at anything with the slightest tiniest lump in it and She plays with the food but never puts it in her mouth. The only way i Get her to eat is if its puree and i somehow manage to Get a tiny bit on her lips and she actually decides it taste good . Shes in a high chair so ill try adjusting it, somehow i doubt it will help but atleast She will be more comfortable 😅 ive gone back to mix the puree with breast milk and it seems to help a little bit. Safe to say it worries me even though her weight is okey. I honestly think sitting around the table with us have turned into not a great experience, it’s hard not to get stressed when the food goes everywhere but not a single thing gets even near her mouth 😢
My 7 year old daughter is a picky eater and will not try new foods I force feed her to eat and then she eats
My 11 month old eats anything but doesnt like touching food nor even if i offer him with my hand and wont eay solids unless its mashed or with lumpy bits but wont chew
My baby dosent wanna eat any new foods at all he only wants puree what can i do
Thank you my baby is 10 months and due to a mixture of me giving up when he doesn’t take food straight away, scared of choking, and teething I feel he’s behind with food. X
My baby does all the things showing fullness but hasn’t actually eaten any food just spits it out
Link is not working 😢

I did a video like this for my baby and bc I'm not a doctor I was called a bad mom but yet this is how my 19 year old learned please be kind bc no baby learns the same blessings ❤
My baby is 1 yr old. And It becomes very difficult to feed her. She does not eat anything for the whole day and then only takes a little milk
I am sure I made a mistake giving him quite plain food cause I was worried spices might upset his tummy, but he actually ended up losing any interest in food 🥲
He is 2 years now and my question is, can I make it up for him or it is too late, please I need an advice
i ran here bec im struggling to feed my 7 month old . thanks for the great tips!
15-20 exposures😭
My babies are 1 yr old and still don’t like sitting on high chair. Won’t sit for even 2 min
peditricians advise not to add salt or sugar in baby's food in first year of life. then how can we introduce things like curries.
Give your baby a piece of meat and they will eat it without hesitation. Give them a piece of fruit or veggy and they won't like it.
My grandbaby is 2 wont eat or drink anything just wants breast milk. When i watch her she wont drink anything! Help!
I noticed also that my baby won't eat much when their diaper is wet.
People who have an AVI/PAV gene find some foods exceptionally bitter. Broccoli, brussels sprouts and cabbage are usually the worst culprits for those with this gene. If your baby has that gene, it is highly unlikely you can get them to eat these foods.
I am an Indian and my husband a white American so I literally have a wide variety of food that i cook for us and for our 10 month old daughter. Thankfully she has been really good about eating the variety food that i offer her. When she stops eating there is literally nothing that i can do to get that last spoon of food into her mouth 😂😂😂😂. She purses her lips and doesn't open it. But i am also guilty of making her smile just so that i can shove some more food into her mouth. Looking at this video i am feeling bad that i do that. She does eat properly so there is absolutely no excuse why i should do that. I need to stop it when she cues a "enough" 😘
