What would u recommend for a 2week newborn that can already turn on his side and hates being swaddled? He had rolled on his side once in thr swaddle and my mother in law said we should take him out of him because hes already turning. But im having to pull all nighters trying to get him to sleep in the bassinet because I the startle reflex wakes him up but also he loves being held to sleep. I tried even warming the bassinet before and ill even leave my hand on him for a short while after placing but it was a constant battle. Im to the point I think im going to have to become an all nighter where I hold him. He sleeps great during the day no issues ! But i think its because he usually has one of his holding him. He has slept in a bassinet out in the living room but its like during the day its all peaceful 😅

Also im using the nipple shield , do they cause babies to be gassy? Im trying to get him to accept my nipple but he prefers the shield. He's just gotten to be super gassy and im wondering if its because of the shield. I also havent introduced the pacifier yet as ive heard its not recommended until you have breastfeeding established

Theses videos are really good 😊 love them.

I Use the last method, but I do it while gently moving up and down… and to do that just sit on a big inflatable gymnastic ball.
Easy to inflate/deflate, quite comfortable, easy to transport (voyage, holidays…) and it’s really cheap.
When the baby seems to sleep, slowly reduce the cadence, then stop, then (really important part!) do not get impatient !!! Start to tell in your head until at least 30 consecutive calm breaths of your baby (I do 60 tbh). And voila…
Daddy can do it, and it’s also count as a leg training session ^^

For the ones who are breastfeeding there’s also the possibility to give a few drops of a concentrated chamomile solution before every breastfeeding session (starting at 17:00 until the last feeding session of the day /night… ) this don’t work with every baby, so it’s a kind of « try it and hope it works » but if you are lucky, it works really extremely well. So I highly recommend you try it.

I used elimination method to figure out which food i ate made my baby colicy . And i stopped eating those. It worked! My baby started sleeping just enough, so i can get enough slp now. Try it if nothing else works!

First time parents, this is why you always want grandma and grandpa close this is when you get to use them for help. I'm sure we spoil your kids rotten but just think of it as payback for when your grandparents used to spoil you.

As a father to our fisrt born daughter, really helpless and struggling to keep her comfortable. As I want to let my wife get as much rest as possible, but to tend to a baby that is constantly crying is really stressful. Gonna try these few steps see if it helps. I really dont even know what to do anymore but to try anything that suits the baby.

My baby is 3 weeks old. She was amazing for 2 weeks. Now spends Most of the day crying unless when sleeping or nursing. It’s like she’s rarely awake and content. She hates the 3 different carriers I have. Hates the swing, the floor, the bouncing chair, the pacifier… I thought she was probably not eating enough, then started pumping and giving a bottle just to make sure she’s eating all she needs and more. I have to be doing something wrong…
