I always understood to wait a minute or two before rushing to the baby when they fuss a little, but I never knew a baby fussing in their sleep could be so noisy and ACTIVE! My babies are LOUD active sleepers. They move A LOT and make lots of little noises. When I would hear them do this I assumed they were up, uncomfortable, frustrated, mad, and wanted to be picked up. I never realized they were still asleep and picking them up was actually waking them! How about you??

Co sleep – that’s the solution. Think about how incredible it would be to be looking at your three-year-old and no they have not once ever fallen asleep or woken up alone. Ditch the cribs. It’s not normal it’s American and American is not for health or bio normal connections, it’s $ and fear based compliance. Hold your baby, sleep with your baby.

I've been a parent for 12 days and I knew this. How did you go through four kids without figuring it out?

My son will be 17 years old soon and I just found this out today. Now I feel bad cause I used to pick him up often even at night. Wish I knew

There's a reason at least I found why this is so hard. When my son was this age , if I caught his hunger quick enough in the night he would never even wake up and dream feed, so I never even had to put him back to sleep. So that's why as soon as he started moving I'd pick him up 😂😂😂

Nobody gaf about your baby. It’s not a precious commodity someone is goi g to scoop up and try to sell on the black market. Those signs, however, could save your babies life in a situation where it’s someone’s job to gaf, like after a car wreck.

This is something every mom needs to know!!! With my first, I literally picked him up every time he made a noise lol and I swear I made him a horrible sleeper because of that! And with my second, I would always give her approx 5 minutes unless she was in a full out cry. She almost always went right back into quiet sleep mode and was an amazing sleeper! Doing the same thing with my third and she also is sleeping like a champ! It’s just hard because they can be so loud sometimes and you think they’re awake but they’re not😂

Ask yourself if you think you’re a good mom or not, shouldn’t have to get validation from others.

Sameeeee lol when my daughter was a newborn she had so much active sleep. Looking back I definitely woke her up alottttt by accident thinking she was frustrated. Lol the sleep deprivation I had was probably more my fault than anything else😭🤣

My going rule was that if he started making noises, I would give it 10 seconds. If the noises turned to crying or screaming, I would go see what's up.

How could it take you 4 kids to figure this out? It should take 4 weeks a maximum.

I just had my first baby at 42 in October 2024. I usually just gently pat his chest and he falls back asleep… unless he's due a feed.
Did that since he was born…. I thought everyone knew to do that… if you picked them up every time your baby stirred in there sleep you'd never get any sleep at all.
I used to let him wake on his own but was told by my hell visitor meaning (health visitor) I need to wake him every 2 – 3 h for a feed so thats the only time i actually wake him. By himself he was waking every 4 hours !
