Fever, elevated temps, kill the virus by disrupting the lipid membrane, fever is not a symptom it is the remedy

    Great tips, thanks for that.
If the baby has a lot of congestion, is that ok if I suck it with my mouth? I feel like any tool we use for it she hates, and sucking it with my mouth seems to be the easiest to do.
How about washing the nose? Is that ok?

Wash baby down with luke warm water for several minutes until temp falls. Repeat as often as necessary.

Hoping this helps ease my mind. My baby girl (11 months) has a fever that brought us to the ER and I am FREAKING out.

My 7 month old son died last year from acute respiratory failure. We were in the ER and an emergent pediatric visit within 48 hours of his death. He was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, croup, stridor, and was experiencing dyspnea. They barely paid any mind to us in the ER and deemed him as having your typical cold (despite my verbally saying he was much worse than that). In the pediatricians the next day it was no better in validating my fears. I brought my baby in for croup and retracting ribs. This doctor who’d been in practice for years to,d me to my face his retracting ribs were normal for stridor and not to be concerned. We also went in there specifically to ask for medication, which I knew to ask for because my baby suffered from croup the month prior. Instead of the doctor giving him an oral dose in office, he sent my baby and I home with pills and told me to crush the pills and mix it with baby food the next morning. My son suffered from acute respiratory failure in his sleep early the next morning before we could even get the first first dose. We couldn’t revive and neither could any first responder or ER doctor. I don’t understand why he couldn’t have been admitted and why the doctor was so not urgent about my babies symptoms and my fears. I practically begged him to admit my baby and he kept reassuring me it wasn’t necessary and he would be just fine. I was going to take my baby back to ER the next day if the medicine wasn’t helping but he never got a chance. I just don’t understand and I hate it. I just miss my little guy so much.

Any advice/recommendations for caring for a newborn while parent is sick? Especially pre-vaccination (prior to 2 months of age). Thanks!

Hi, I'm wondering about using sterile saline in a portable nebulizer to help break down mucus in sinuses of an infant. We have sprayed sterile saline in baby's nose but it is extremely traumatic. It is the only way we know how to help baby break down mucus and expel it when sick with common cold. Does using saline in a nebulizer help with mucus management with young infants? What are some other suggestions for mucus management when babies are sick?

Thank you so much for this video! So informative! Just want to ask – did you just let her sleep as much as possible for naps and night sleeps without waking her up? Cause I am not sure if I should wake my baby to drink or eat something. Our baby probably got covid 🥹 she’s 11 months

Watching this with a sick, miserable, whimpering eight month old baby girl curled up on my lap. She's had RSV for the past week, along with croup, bronchiolitis, and an ear infection and it's breaking my heart to see. I just want her to feel better already 🙁

Something i wish you would touch on is febrile seizures! Our daughter had one, and it scares us to death. We didn’t know it was a relatively normal thing at the time and i wish we had known how to be more calm and what to do when it was happening.

Can you guys make a video about how to keep a baby (newborn) cool while out in the heat of summer? We are going to an outdoor graduation and will be outside for a while. I've watched a few videos about it but I feel like I can't trust every bit of advice because he is so young and they are not doctors.
