Currently 13 weeks. Trying to potty train my 2 year old. Next is switching to a big kid bed. Hoping to do both these big things before the baby is due on New Year's. We'll see! 🤞😂
🤰
This is so helpful, thank you!
New subscriber by the way ❤ !!
Hank is such a cute name ❤…love it ..
Perfect timing! I'm due with my secind in a month, and my first is almost 3.
We told her mommy has a baby in her tummy when pretty early on because she was trying to jump onto my tummy 😅 and now she keeps asking when she'll get to meet her baby sister 😊
Thank you for all the tips!! Our little guy will be 2.5 when baby #2 comes in July. I made the decision that I wanted to start potty training him when he turned 2, and a week before that I tested positive 😂 so that was an interesting journey, but now he’s mostly trained so I’m glad that process went smoother than I expected. Now to get him in a big boy bed and eventually his new room! We’re so excited ❤
Just found out today I'm pregnant with my 4th! Unplanned. I just had my baby's first birthday and i thought he was my last. 😂 Congratulations on your third!!
The hardest part in my journey so far is to “not blame the baby” because Ive tried my hardest this whole pregnancy but it gets to a point that I literally just CANT do something because of the growing belly. Drawing this correlation is tough to admit to my toddler, especially when he wants me to join him in physical activities that I just cannot do at this stage in the pregnancy.
3rd!! I started following you guys when I was pregnant in 21/22 and I think your first was still a baby (mine will be 3 next week). I could not even fathom having 3 kids at this point haha. You guys are superstars.
It’s easier to tell them when they’re older. We got my 10-year-old stepdaughter a cake that said “big sister, coming soon…” to surprise her (and celebrate with cake! lol) we then took a picture of her with the cake and sent that to everyone else as our official announcement
Ah!!! Asher’s birth was amazing, he’s 6 weeks old and was born on 1/28 he is going to get to meet his older brothers that live in Texas this weekend!
How are Ceec and Bo so grown already 🥰
What were your favorite books for reading to your kiddos to prepare before baby?
Perfect timing. I’m giving birth any day now to my second. My daughter is so excited to meet her baby brother, but she’s a mama’s girl and I know she will inevitably have a period of jealousy. Thanks for the great advice. 😊
Great tips, thank you very much
Which books do you recommend? 🙂
Eee I'm both so nervous and so excited for my 1 to 2 transition
Something Im not sure everyone thinks of with telling the older siblings, wait until you have announced to extended family. I work with kiddos between 2-4 years old, and we have had three different children in the past that have told us their parents were pregnant before they planned on announcing. Those little ones love to rat out their parents lol!
this is such a nice useful video! we only have one kid yet, but as he's growing we start thinking about having another one and I'm a litttle bit anxious that he won't be having all the attention he's getting right now. good to now there are some things to make it better!
"Don't let the crazy steal your joy" Love that! Congratulations! This was a great video.
My mom told me that when I was three my baby sister got home and I smacked her right across the face! 😂😂😂😂😂
Such a great video! My son will be 22 months when we bring his sister home, and I have been nervous but knowing that eventually it will feel like our new normal and that he will love having someone to play with <3. Thank you for your encouraging tips and knowledge.
My daughter was 25 months when we conceived, and we potty trained and switched to the big bed shortly thereafter. She knew "baby in mommy belly button" right away and now calls the baby by name ("Baby [name] growing in mommy's big belly") now that we're in the second trimester. She has started to show more interest in "taking care" of her baby dolls.
Congratulations again to your family! We're getting ready to introduce baby #2 to our first, so this was a timely video.
Does anybody know any resources for how to do this when your older child has nonverbal autism?
I am having such a hard time finding any tips for this. I’m telling my son he will be a big brother soon but I have no idea how much he even understands. I’m afraid for my baby’s safety because I’m not able to have conversations with my older son about being gentle, etc. I mean, I can tell him these things until I’m blue in the face, but again, I have no idea how much of it he actually comprehends.
I bought a baby doll to “practice” with but he isn’t interested.
I really need help.
I can't find the book suggestions. Would you be able to share them?
If there are any where walking and talking ISNT mentioned that would be great. My boy has CP so that isn't really relevant and a pain point for me.
CEC 😂 obsessed with Hank 🤣 she’s such a sweet big sister. I can’t get over her 🩷
I only have one and we are determined not to have another for several years…I probably shouldn’t be watching this, gonna get baby fever again 😂
My first is two and my second is due in May. This was my favorite video of yours I've ever seen. Very real, appreciate you acknowledging the challenges.
Loved the last section the most. So motivating and hopeful. ❤
This couldn't have come at a better time for my family. I'm being induced with #2 on Monday and my husband and I are both only children so we're definitely looking for resources on how to raise siblings. Huge congratulations to you and your growing family! I'm so excited to be on this journey together ❤️
Sarah, you look amazing! Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 Congratulations to you both on baby #3 🎉!
We are bringing our second home this afternoon to meet our first. Hopefully we prepped him well enough! 😊
Great video as always! So great to see your little family grow ❤ This will hopefully be helpful at some point if we ever have another baby and need to introduce our only child to him or her. Might be interesting since she's been "the" baby for close to 3 years now!
Perfect video and great timing! I'll be having my second in September and my little one is 2 years old. I've been trying to figure out how to tell her and how the introduction will happen.
