So wrong … all the parents here plz do not get confused this lady is misleading. Can u keep sleeping in one position whole night. Absolutely not. So what u have to do is in the night make the baby sleep straight as shown in this video. In the day time make them sleep on their right side for two hours and left side for two hours and then again straight… this will help them sleep peacefully n not pain in their back

In the beginning, sure, but once they start rolling you can't control how they end up just monitor how they position their head if they're on their belly. At that point you shouldn't even be swaddling their arms or have anything tightly around the hips
Also this rule doesn't work well if a baby gets sick and has post nasal drip. When our little one got sick at 2mo with lots of mucous it was impossible to get her to sleep comfortably face up, she'd wake up screaming. We just wedged her securely on her sides (alternating) so her nasal passages could drain and her head would get even pressure on either side.
As the months have gone on I've constantly tried to keep her on her back but she flips over every time I put her in the crib, and sleeps much sounder on her side or belly. 🤷‍♀️

The head nurse at the hospital informed me to never sleep a newborn on their flat back. Sleep on the side and change them occasionally. I'm confused now

This is so wrong. You should switch between sides when putting baby to sleep for their healthy development.

My newborns slept on side in rotation. To prevent head flat and choking

My last one refused to do anything but sleep on her stomach! I didn’t sleep much until she got a bit bigger and started sleeping on her side around 7-8 months of age. I did EVERYTHING that was in any book or blog, and nothing worked to convince her to sleep on her back. My other two slept on their side. My youngest is now 14 and still the most STUBBORN child in the universe. But all mine didn’t do the back and did just fine, and I used this amazing baby wedge that kept them in place while they slept.
