No my boys did not sleep at all especially the first one. He is now 13. We had to see a sleep specialist in Boston and when they saw his sleep charts they said, well it can't get any worse that this! It was very tough. I had the insomnia thing too and I'd be in tears trying to sleep.
My son was the same. He hardly slept during the day so I trained him to sleep all night. Of course I started as soon as my doctor said he no longer needs to wake up at night and feed. I believe it is closer to the one year mar. I had to just lay next to him next to his crib and literally the first couple nights it was close to 3 hours. then it gradually decreased. My son is now 3 years goin on to 4 and he sleeps at 8 pm and doesn't wake up till 7 am. its a lengthy process. Of course if you want him to sleep during the day u can train him as well. As I went through this process by myself I will tell you its hard to see your baby cry, but in the long run they don't suffer and you wont either.
My daughter had colic for the first 3 months so not only did we not sleep, but our days and nights were spent constantly holding and rocking her. She hated the swing, slings, or anything other than our arms. She was a very high demand baby. I agree, the sleep when baby sleeps thing is reserved for babies who actually sleep lol!
My first baby slept more in the day but very fussy second baby didn't sleep hardly at all like Max but now he has a proper nap from 6 months old
hope you are doing good… happy to see these videos from you once in a while…
so I hope you are just too busy so you couldn't upload any videos last week and everybody is healthy!
My son is 15 months and still isn't a great sleeper…so good luck! 😜
You look different like if you have not slept for several days 🙁
Benadryl for baby and melatonin for mommy. I think that's a nursery rhyme.
I have two girls. Both of them did not start sleeping on there own until about 6 months. My oldest, who is 4 now, starting sleeping on her own at 5 months and stopped doing night time feedings around 6 months. My youngest, who is almost 8 months, starting sleeping on her own at 6 months, but is still doing night time feedings. I don't think this one is ever going to stop nursing. Eeeek. Things change with their age. Somethings will get harder and somethings will get easier. Have fun with your Max.
I've been having that stupid kind of insomnia you were talking about for a year now(((
What's the best advice you received so far? And what advice would you give a new mom now that you've lived through this for two months? Thank you for creating the videos even though you are sleep deprived. I love seeing little glimpses of Max.
U look hot in this video
another reason I tell people not to have kids. What is the plus side for you for all this?
first off i want to say i sooo love your videos my daughter and i watch them as soon as there posted lol …. but i guess i was one of the lucky ones my daughter would sleep through the entire your night i would literally have to wake her up to eat insomnia oh yeah you'll definitely get use to that until i say about 4/5 lol but i sorta wish my baby was as up and awake when she was born
My baby is 1 now and she loves to sleep and always has, she enjoyed her swing but now she's too big and can sleep anywhere. Might I suggest buying the cuddle cradle, it was easy for me to put her to sleep while holding the cuddle craddle, then an easy transition to the bassinet she used at the time. I got the cuddle craddle from babies r us online and it was awesome, you should try it!
My second turned 2 months old 4 days ago and I just let him nap in his swing if he's waking up. Pacifiers and swings and bouncers really help. And you might want to throw all your ideals out the window lol… you do what you need to survive 🙂
