I got my new baby leopard gecko three days ago. Not sure if it’s a boy a girl—I’m calling him Nimbus for now. Might change it if it’s a girl. On the second night, I tried feeding him just one cricket. He gulped it. For tonight, I fed him about 5-6 crickets. He ate them all without a problem. Crazy animal though thought my tong tips were food at first; totally missed the cricket initially. He latched onto the tong tips like a fierce hyena and locked jaws like a gator. It’s a good thing I chose tongs whose tips are rubber or some soft material at the end. Little guy didn’t injure his mouth fortunately. Still can’t believe he was willing to eat this soon at his new home. I’ve been leaving him alone and unbothered except for water changes and nightly feedings.

I recently got one, my first reptile ever. His name is geek, we came up with it because we were like “baby gecko” which turned into geecko and gekky-gek and its sounded like Geek. And I am not confident holding him, when I go close I get this feeling he will snap and bite, though I know it doesn’t hurt, it still gives me a big fright and I end up scaring Geek too
